Amoura Escapes ("we", "us") is operated by Johannes Cornelis van Dijke, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 83868003. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have.
1. What we collect
When you submit a request through our intake form, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your budget and travel window
- Any details you share about the trip (e.g. what makes her smile, occasion)
If you proceed to payment, our payment provider (Stripe) additionally processes your payment details. We do not see or store your full card details ourselves — Stripe handles this directly.
2. Why we collect it
We use this information to:
- Review and respond to your request
- Design your two curated destination options
- Send you confirmation and follow-up emails about your request
- Process payment for the service fee
- Comply with Dutch tax and bookkeeping obligations (e.g. retaining invoices)
3. Legal basis
We process your data based on:
- Contract: to provide the service you've requested
- Consent: by submitting the intake form, you consent to us using your details to review and respond to your request
- Legal obligation: for financial administration required under Dutch law
4. Who we share it with
We use the following third parties to run our service. Each only receives the data necessary to perform their specific function:

We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing beyond communicating about your own request.
5. How long we keep it
- Request details (from the intake form) are kept for as long as needed to respond to your request, and deleted within 12 months if no booking follows.
- Data related to a completed, paid service is kept for 7 years, in line with Dutch tax record-keeping requirements.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR/AVG, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (where we're not legally required to keep it)
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

If you believe we haven't handled your data properly, you also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
7. Cookies
Our website does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
