1. Who we are
Amoura Escapes is a curation service operated by Johannes Cornelis van Dijke, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 83868003. In these terms, "we" and "us" refer to Amoura Escapes.
2. What we offer
Amoura Escapes designs curated romantic weekend proposals for couples. For a fixed service fee of €59, you receive two curated European destination options, including suggested flights, boutique hotel recommendations, a romantic activity highlight, and a clear budget breakdown, delivered as a PDF ("the Reveal").
Amoura Escapes does not book, sell, or process payment for flights, hotels, or any other travel service. All bookings are made independently by you, directly with the relevant airline, hotel, or platform, via the links provided in the Reveal. Amoura Escapes is not a travel agent and holds no liability for the availability, pricing, or quality of any third-party travel service.
3. Service boundaries
To ensure the quality and turnaround time of our service, the following boundaries apply:
- Destinations within Europe only
- Trip duration of 2–4 days
- No long-haul destinations
- No complex multi-city itineraries
- Requests with a departure date within 7 days of booking cannot be guaranteed
- One round of revisions to the destination options is included; additional revisions may incur a separate fee
If your request falls outside these boundaries, we will let you know before requesting payment, and no fee will be charged.
4. Process and payment
1. You submit a request via our intake form (no payment required at this stage).
2. We review your request within 24 hours to confirm we can design your Amoura Weekend within the boundaries above.
3. If approved, you'll receive a secure payment link for the €59 service fee.
4. Once payment is received, we design your two curated destination options and deliver the Reveal within 48 hours.
5. Right of withdrawal (herroepingsrecht)
Under Dutch and EU consumer law, you normally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.
By requesting that we begin designing your Amoura Weekend immediately upon payment, and given that the service will be fully performed within this 14-day period, you explicitly agree that you waive your right of withdrawal once the Reveal has been delivered to you. You will be asked to confirm this explicitly before payment.
If you wish to cancel before payment is made, you may do so at any time, free of charge.
6. Refunds
Because the service fee covers the curation work itself (research, selection, and design of the Reveal), it is non-refundable once the Reveal has been delivered, except:
- If we are unable to deliver a Reveal that meets the boundaries described in Section 3 and agreed upon during review, in which case you will receive a full refund.
- At our discretion, if you are not satisfied with the outcome, we may offer a partial or full refund on a case-by-case basis.
7. Liability
Amoura Escapes provides curated suggestions based on the information you share with us. We are not liable for:
- Changes in price or availability of flights, hotels, or activities between the time of the Reveal and the time you book
- The quality of service provided by third-party airlines, hotels, or activity providers
- Any outcome of the trip itself once booked
8. Force majeure
If we're unable to deliver your Reveal within the agreed timeframe due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (illness, technical failure, or similar), we will inform you as soon as possible and offer a new timeframe or a full refund, at your choice.
9. Complaints
If you're not satisfied with any part of our service, please reach out to hello@amouraescapes.com. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
10. Who these terms apply to
These terms are written for consumers (individuals purchasing for personal use). Dutch consumer protection law applies, including restrictions on what can and cannot be included in these terms (the "zwarte" and "grijze lijst" under Dutch civil law).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
